Camp Information

2016 Summer Camp Registration and Information: www.voorheessoftball.com

The purpose of these camps is to emphasize the proper fundamentals of throwing, hitting, running, fielding, and pitching.  Each player, regardless of age or ability level, will have the opportunity to develop, sharpen, and advance their skills in an enjoyable, competitive and instructional atmosphere.

 

Meet your Camp Director:

Lindsay Simone (Creaney)

  • Played for Rutgers University, both Division III and Division I teams.  
  • Earned the titles of Raptor of the week and rookie pitcher of the week 3 times.
  • Rutgers Club Softball Founder, President & Coach
  • Pitched perfect games, shut-outs, .486 batting average.  
  • Coached ASA softball, Varsity and JV High School Ball
  • Played women’s fastpitch for 10 years
  • Currently coaches private softball instruction and runs softball camps/clinics since 2005   

Camp Dates, Costs & Times:  

Camp 1: $90/player

PITCHING CAMP: each player MUST have someone to catch for them!
*Bring: Glove & catcher

Dates: July 11, 12, 13 (3 hrs total)

Raindate: July 18th same times
6-7pm Beginner & Lower Intermediate: Works on mechanics of fastball and location (change up if ready)
7-8pm Higher Intermediate & Advanced: Already has decent speed. Emphasizes mechanics and works on change-up and  drop as well as Speed  and spins (change, drop, curve, screw and/or rise if ready)
Registration is due by July 6th to be guaranteed a tee-shirt.  

 $10.00/late fee after registration deadline

Camp 2: $195 per player

ALL SKILLS CAMP
*Bring: glove, cleats, helmet, bat, water

Dates: July 18, 19, 20, 21

Raindate: July 22 9am-1pm

Time: 9am-12pm (12 hours total)
ALL SKILLS CAMP- EMPHASIS ON OFFENSE & BASE RUNNING (throwing, catching, hitting, bunting, slapping & base running)
Registration is due by July 14th  to be guaranteed a tee-shirt.  

 $10.00/late fee after registration deadline

Camp 3: $90/player

PITCHING CAMP: each player MUST have someone to catch for them!
*Bring: Glove & catcher

Dates: July 19, 20, 21 (3 hours total)

Raindate: July 29 same times
6-7pm Beginner & Lower Intermediate: Works on mechanics of fastball and location (change up if ready)
7-8pm Higher Intermediate & Advanced: Already has decent speed. Emphasizes mechanics and works on change-up and  drop as well as Speed  and spins (change, drop, curve, screw and/or rise if ready)
Registration is due by  July 14th  to be guaranteed a tee-shirt.
